I just wanted to take a moment to share what God is doing in our ives right now. AS many of you know Jason and I have been serving in a church plant here in Springboro, Oh. We have loved our time there...the youth and the praise team are amazing! But for the past 3-4 months we have both been feeling a stirring in our hearts that it was time to move on and to leave the area...we just didn't know where we were being called to. In that time we have been praying and looking at Southern Seminary. For a time we thought that made sense to go there, so we began to take the steps needed to go there. But after being at the Global Missions Conferece at Urbancrest Jason felt led to send his resume out to some places. We both were praying about the kind of church we wanted to be at and came up with three issues that were a must for us to go and serve there. On our way to Southern Seminary for the Preview weekend, a pastor from a church in Huntington called Jason and wanted to meet right away, so on our way to Southern we detoured to Lexington and had dinner with the pastor and music minister. Through the course of the conversation we discovered this church had all the things we were looking for ~ it is a church with a vision and a passion to reach others. Jason and I left that meeting knowing that we were called there and it was where God ws leading us to go. Over the past month or so we ahve been through the "interviewing" process and all that. This past Sunday, June 8th (our 6th year anniversary), Jason was voted on to be the Minister of Students at Highlawn Baptist Church with a 100% vote. We were amazed by God and His goodness. So we will be moving to Huntington, West Virginia in a week and a half. Jason and I will go out there for part of next week (June 16th) for their VBS and for me to connect with schools, then we will have our last Sunday at South Valley on the 22nd and move the 23rd or 24th. So in a whirlwind of time and emotions we close out our time here and begin our new ministry in Huntington. Please pray for us as we make this transition.
